VANP Invest has been honored with the prestigious "Building of the Year" award for its work on ONYX – a modern multifunctional building situated at the key intersection of Bulgaria Blvd. and Acad. Ivan Geshov Blvd. in Sofia.
The competition is the most prestigious annual event in the field of investment projects, construction, and architecture in Bulgaria, recognizing the best achievements in the realization of modern building projects each year. It also honors the investors, architects, and builders who contribute to their successful implementation.
This year's ceremony was held at Sofia Event Center, impressing with its elegance and scale. The winners were selected by a distinguished jury composed of leading architects, urban planners, and representatives of professional organizations.
The awarded project stands out with its innovative architecture, sustainable urban planning approach, and impeccable execution, integrating office spaces, retail areas, a restaurant, and underground parking. The building was designed with the aim of enriching the urban environment, preserving valuable green spaces, and improving pedestrian accessibility.
A responsible approach to sustainable urban development
ONYX places a strong emphasis on seamless integration into the existing urban landscape. The project has been meticulously adapted to preserve the centuries-old plane trees in the area and modernize the adjacent infrastructure. Pedestrian zones have been completely renovated, and access to the nearby underpass has been significantly improved through the construction of a new, modern ramp.

The building is composed of two distinct volumes – a lower three-story structure and a higher five-story section, arranged to ensure functionality, sustainability, and distinctive aesthetics.
The facade combines natural materials, glass, and dynamic geometric elements, creating a modern and memorable silhouette. The careful combination of vertical and horizontal lines gives the building a unique architectural identity that contributes to the contemporary look of the area.
